How did you meet?
Margot and Chris’s love story began in the digital age, sparked by a serendipitous encounter on the dating app Bumble. Their connection deepened over glasses of wine in a quaint London wine bar, setting the stage for a journey of love and adventure that would culminate in a magical wedding day.
They said: We’ll meet On Bumble! Then, we hit it off in a little wine bar in London.
Tell us your engagement story:
We went to Glenlo Abbey, which is a wonderful old abbey converted into a boutique hotel on the west coast of Ireland. I played golf for the first time and was disastrous at it. I could see Chris panicking as he tried to reassure me that not only was I great at golf but his perfect person.
We returned to our gorgeous room overlooking the abbey, which was full of roses, chocolates, and a big bottle of champagne. I promptly said, “Wrong room!” and started to shut the door when he insisted we were in the right room. It was then he got down one knee and recited a beautiful speech. It was magical
Wedding Theme/Colors:
The wedding theme celebrated the couple’s diverse backgrounds. Blue and white accents paid homage to Chris’s Northern Irish heritage, while pink apple blossoms dotted throughout the venue honoured Sarah’s roots in the bustling metropolis of New York City.

Our Ceremony at Luttrellstown Castle:
It had a virtual sky that changed as family members walked down the aisle, and there were many flowers and beloved poetry from Northern Irish and American poets. I walked down the aisle to Ragland Road, our song.
Our Wedding Venue:
The iconic Luttrellstown Castle was outside Dublin, where we waved Irish and American flags.

We had a string quartet, harpist, live band, and guitarist/singer. Most played traditional Irish music with a twist.

We chose Rosehip & Berry to plant seasonal flowers throughout the Luttrellstown castle to represent our shared heritage.

Dancing with my new husband! There was so much practice, but it was completely different and special.
