Wedding Photographer Louth

Wedding Photographer Louth – DK PHOTO

I love hearing that I am heading to Louth to do the wedding photography for one of my wedding couples. It might be Ireland’s smallest county but Louth has so much to offer. I have had many wedding couples that are having friends and family travelling from all over Ireland, deciding on Louth because of its central location. It’s only an hour’s drive from Dublin.
Louth has some fantastic locations in terms of wedding venues as well as wedding day photoshoot locations. With my professional wedding photographer hat on, here are some of my favourites!

First up I have to mention Carlingford Lough. Any wedding photographer in Louth will be really happy to have this beautiful land mark back drop to use on a wedding couples’ big day. There are stunning views as far as the eye can see. Louth has a real gem to offer with Carlingford Lough.

Bellingham Castle, Castlebellingham, Louth

Moving on, to Bellingham Castle, Castlebellingham, Louth. For the bride and groom that want the WOW factor and a fairy-tale feeling on their wedding day, then Bellingham Castle is a must see! It dates back to the 17th century and it is set within a mature woodlands and beautiful gardens. There is a picture-perfect moment around every corner within the castle itself and around the grounds. I have never been short of photograph options at this incredible venue.

The Old Mill at Carlingford Brewing

Next, I have to mention The Old Mill at Carlingford Brewing in Co. Louth. I often hear wedding couples talking about their wish to find a venue with an old-world charm. The Old Mill in Louth is over 600 years old and it is a really interesting and unique space for you wedding day. It boasts lots of medieval original features inside the venue and nature is all around. This venue has a stunning woodlands and small stream running around the venue that offers lots of lovely options for your wedding photography.

My final pick is The d Hotel, Scotch Hall, Drogheda, Louth. If you are torn between the appeal of a modern hotel and the charm of a medieval town then The d Hotel in Drogheda will impress. The banks of the River Boyne, offer a fantastic backdrop for your wedding photography. You will be flying high, on the hotel’s sixth floor rooftop plaza, boasting incredible views of one of Louth’s most famous towns.
