You cannot upgrade from a short wedding video to a full wedding video package after the wedding.
Once the day is over, what was not filmed and recorded simply does not exist.
This comes up more than you’d think — couples love their wedding video and then say, “We wish we had the full ceremony”, or “Can we get the vows?”
But if it wasn’t recorded on the day, it cannot be added later.

Two Very Different Wedding Video Options
At DKPHOTO, I offer two approaches to wedding videos.
They are not “good” or “better”—they are designed for very different couples.
Option 1 – Short Wedding Video ONLY! (Up to 5 Minutes)
Single Spark Film Package
This is a cinematic wedding highlight film.
It shows the best moments of the day in a beautiful, emotional way — but it is not a documentary of your wedding.
This wedding video includes:
- Filming of the key moments of the day
- One short wedding video (up to 5 minutes)
- Music-based storytelling
- Emotional, cinematic editing
This wedding video does NOT include:
- Full ceremony
- Full vows
- “I do” audio
- Readings during Mass
- Priest or celebrant audio
- Full speeches
- Fewer moments than a full wedding film!
It is a summary wedding video, not a full record of your wedding.
Option 2 – Three Wedding Videos (Teaser, Highlight Film & Full Ceremony)
Triple Sparkle Film Package
This is the most complete wedding video experience.
It includes:
- A 1-minute teaser wedding video (perfect for sharing)
- A cinematic wedding highlight film
- A full wedding ceremony video
- Full vows
- Full readings
- Full priest or celebrant audio
- Full speeches
- Multiple cameras
- Professional microphones
- Much more wedding footage captured

Why Wedding Video Prices Are Different
The short wedding video costs less for one simple reason:
Less filming, less equipment, less editing
For a short wedding video, I use:
- Fewer cameras
- Less audio equipment
- Less filming time
- Less editing time
I do not mic:
- The priest
- The celebrant
- The groom
- The speakers
So there is no full ceremony audio to use later.
No full vows.
No full speeches.
That’s why the price is lower — and that’s totally fair, as long as you understand what you are choosing.
Why You Cannot Upgrade Your Wedding Video After the Wedding
This is the part that causes the most regret.
When couples book the short wedding video, I film differently:
- Fewer cameras
- Fewer angles
- No continuous ceremony recording
- No full audio recording
So after the wedding, even if you change your mind:
- The vows were never recorded
- The readings were never recorded
- The speeches were never fully recorded
They do not exist.
This is why I always say:
Your wedding video choice must be made before the wedding day.
Who the Short Wedding Video Is Actually For
The short wedding video is perfect for couples who:
- Don’t watch long videos- but it can change in a few years! :)
- Want something modern and quick
- Mainly want a social-media-friendly wedding video
- Do not care about hearing their vows again
- Do not care about the speeches or the ceremony audio
For these couples, it’s a lovely option.
But it is not for everyone.
Why Full Wedding Videos Become More Valuable Over Time
After filming weddings for many years, I see the same thing happen again and again.
Couples watch:
- Their teaser wedding video is a lot in the first few weeks
- Their highlight wedding video a lot in the first year
But over time, they return to:
- Their full ceremony
- Their vows
- Their readings
- Their speeches
Especially when:
- Parents get older
- Family members pass away
- Children grow up
That is when the full wedding video becomes priceless.
Your children will one day love hearing:
- How you spoke to each other
- What was said in the church
- What people said about you in speeches
That is something a short wedding video simply cannot give you.
The Price Difference Is Smaller Than You Think
Most couples are surprised by this.
The difference between:

and - The full three-video wedding package
…is usually around €300.

If you:
- Only want a short summary
- Don’t like long videos

Then the short wedding video may be perfect.
Just make sure you choose with open eyes — because once the wedding day is over, it cannot be changed.
