Mount Wolseley Wedding
Mount Wolseley Wedding photos
I get to meet and talk to so many wedding couples that are looking for the perfect wedding photographer to go with their perfect venue. I have heard so many of my couples say that they struggled to find the right venue for them and that it was time-consuming and stressful.
I am just back from a wedding at Mount Wolseley and I had to share my experience with you, as it could be the wedding day venue that you have been trying to find.
Mount Wolseley Spa & Golf Resort, is based in Tullow, Co. Carlow, Ireland.
It’s an incredibly central location if you have friends and family coming from all over Ireland.
When I arrived in the morning I was very impressed by the tree-lined driveway that takes you into the beautiful grounds. The entrance really makes you feel like the venue you are headed towards is special.
Walking into the hotel I was struck by the stunning staircase that splits in two and curves around the second floor. The perfect place to show off a Bridal gown in all its glory!
Mount Wolseley – Wedding Photographer
From a photographer’s point of view, Mount Wolseley has so much to offer in terms of backdrops for picture-perfect photographs. They have a huge window that spills out onto a pretty balcony on the second floor where the Bride and Groom can spend some time together as a newly married couple.
For Brides and Grooms that are hoping for sunshine on their wedding day, Mount Wolseley has a feast of locations to choose from. There is an incredibly scenic lake on the grounds which is such a rare find and there is a pretty stone bridge to walk across during your photo shoot.
There are so many trees on the grounds that you are spoilt for choice and with a simple lantern and floral set up the wedding coordinators at Mount Wolseley are able to create something truly magical.
Civil Ceremony – Mount Wolseley
If you are considering having a civil ceremony there are a variety of setups for you to take full advantage of the beautiful views at Mount Wolseley. They offer a wedding garden gazebo which is elegantly decorated with a floral arch and arrangements. There is also the option to have your ceremony in the Regal Wolseley Suite which overlooks the Golf Course.
For the wedding reception, we headed to the Austin Suite which can cater for up to 400 guests. It is an elegantly decorated room and I have seen it set up with wildflowers, fairy lights, and rustic centrepieces that really give it the WOW factor.
Another idea that I have seen carried out here, that you might like to incorporate into your celebrations, is the release of lanterns on wedding.
The lake is such an impressive feature and releasing lanterns after dark in this stunning setting is an amazing moment and very romantic.
If you want to find out more about the various packages that are on offer at Mount Wolseley I highly recommend that you contact the wedding team. They are lovely to deal with and very helpful with answering any questions that you might have.
