Lough Rynn Castle wedding

“Daniel captured so many precious moments on the day of our wedding and we are absolutely delighted with the photographs. I can attest to the words on the DKPHOTO website because Daniel does capture “the magic moments of life, those funny, sad and intimate moments that turn photographs into memories”. We would highly recommend him to any bride/groom because he is so professional and an absolute pleasure to work with.”

We met …

…in France on a family holiday when we were sixteen!

Our proposal

…we got engaged on Christmas eve!

My wedding dress

…was from LaBoda Bridal in Banbridge. I found my dress in the Pronovias flagship store in Barcelona and LaBoda bridal ordered it for me despite the fact that they didn’t have it in store. They were so helpful and accommodating.

My hair and make-up…

My friend Lorraine Cleary from the First Floor did the make-up on the day of the wedding. She is a perfectionist in every sense of the word and I cannot recommend her enough. My other friend Anne-Marie Browne from Patrick Havelin Hair Design did the hair on the day of the wedding. She did such a fantastic job and I cannot recommend her enough.

His suit

was from Louis Copeland in Dundrum.

What our bridal party wore

the bridesmaids wore mauve/lilac dresses from Ollie and Mac in Navan. The best man and groomsmen suits were from Galvins menswear in Mullingar.

Our ceremony…

took place at St Joseph’s Church Aughavas, Co Leitrim. It was celebrated by a family friend which made the ceremony very personal.

We chose our photographer because

DKPHOTO – he is an AMAZING wedding photographer! Daniel captured so many precious moments on the day of our wedding and we are absolutely delighted with the wedding  photographs. I can attest to the words on the www.dkphoto.ie website because Daniel does capture “the magic moments of life, those funny, sad and intimate moments that turn photographs into memories”. We would highly recommend him to any bride/groom because he is so professional and an absolute pleasure to work with.

We chose Lough Rynn Castle as our wedding venue because

it was the first wedding venue we went to and we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding (and we loved the dungeon residents bar!). Pamela and Paula couldn’t do enough for us both and I cannot compliment the staff at Lough Rynn enough. They were so friendly, helpful and professional. Lough Rynn Castle wedding.

Our honeymoon

we went to the West of Ireland for a short trip after the wedding and we are spending our first Christmas together in Thailand!

My favourite part of the wedding day

we enjoyed every minute of the day so it’s hard to choose one! It’s such a special thing to have all of your family and friends together in one place for your wedding day. If I had to choose a favourite part it would be the speeches. They were very personal, funny and real tear jerkers!

My piece of advice for other brides…

book DKPHOTO as your wedding photographer and make sure and book a videographer (preferably someone with a similar style to Daniel). We used Gaffey Productions and they did a fantastic job.

My second piece of advice is to book your honeymoon a couple of weeks after your wedding. We were absolutely wrecked after the weekend and we were so relieved that we decided to do a short mini-moon after the wedding instead of the honeymoon. It also gives you something to look forward to when the post-wedding blues kick in!

Please provide the names of the suppliers you used for your wedding, in list form (if there’s anything that you think other brides-to-be would love to know about, include it here –where you got your stationery/headpiece/groom’s socks/cake stand etc)
