Every visit leaves me in awe of its stunning beauty. It feels as though nature fell in love with this spot in County Wicklow and chose to manifest its romance.
For wedding photographers, it’s a paradise. The design seems to have been crafted with us in mind, offering the perfect backdrop for those enchanting, nature-infused photographs that couples adore.

It was voted the Exclusive Wedding Venue of the Year Ireland 2018 by Weddings On-Line and claimed the Best Wedding Venue award in 2017 and 2018 at the National Hospitality Awards.
On top of that, it won the European Historic Hotels Wedding Experience Award 2017.
These awards are not given out lightly. As a professional wedding photographer who has spent time in this remarkable venue, I can easily see why Rathsallagh House has picked up so much silverware.
This venue is second to none in standard. It is a romantic haven offering an exclusive and private wedding venue in this charming country house. Regarding location, Rathsallagh House is one hour south of Dublin in West Wicklow, on the Kildare border. It’s centrally located and only 20 minutes from Naas, Newbridge, Kildare, and Carlow.

Rathsallagh House has a 300-year-old walled garden that creates a romantic space for every wedding couple who walks through it on their special day. The parklands and woodlands that make up these impressive grounds will also keep your wedding photographer spoilt for choice! The façade of Rathsallagh House itself is breathtaking. A stunning mixture of bright red leaves and greenery has grown up around the building. Standing together as a newly married couple in front of this building on your wedding day really has a WOW factor!
The interior design of Rathsallagh House is elegant and charming.
The open log and turf fires will welcome your wedding guests, family and friends as they mix and mingle at your wedding reception. The luxurious drawing rooms will impress your wedding guests as they sip champagne and indulge in some delicious canapes. The WOW factor continues when they go to the old-world dining room.
Later into the night, I must mention one of the most amazing locations I have photographed for one of my wedding couples. It is a stunning old tree that stands magnificently tall and has been decorated with fairy lights. This is simply magical! Having a photograph under this tree at night will be a unique and treasured wedding photograph forever.
